Pricing questions
What counts as one request?
One request is one successful Pro Mode AI command: a rewrite, a translation, or a summary. Failed commands and Free (BYOK) usage do not count against your Pro quota.
Do I need an API key?
No for Pro Mode. It ships with a managed key, so you can rewrite, translate, and summarize without API setup. Free Mode lets you bring your own OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or local key.
What exactly am I paying for?
Pro and Max are software subscriptions for a macOS productivity application with managed AI text workflows. Echoo does not sell user-created media, broker creator listings, or collect voluntary contributions.
Can I switch plans?
Yes. Change between Pro and Max anytime in the app. The new request quota applies on your next billing cycle, or immediately when you upgrade.
What happens when I hit my limit?
Pro commands pause until your quota resets on the next billing cycle, or until you upgrade. You can keep using Free (BYOK) mode with your own key at any time.
Do unused requests roll over?
No. Your request quota resets each billing cycle. Quota is a monthly allowance, not a bank.
Can I still use my own API key?
Yes. The Free tier is BYOK: every command, voice, skills, and 10+ providers, with no monthly fee or request metering by Echoo. Your provider may charge or rate-limit usage.
How do I cancel?
Cancel anytime in the app. Cancellation stops the next renewal. Your current period stays active until it ends.
Is tax included in the price?
Paddle is the Merchant of Record and handles VAT, GST, and sales tax for your region. Tax is calculated at checkout based on your location.
