Managed Plan Is Here: Start with 10 Free Tokens, No API Key Needed
The easier way to start with Echoo
When Echoo first launched, it was built for people who were comfortable bringing their own AI provider key. That is still a great option, especially if you already use OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, or local models.
But we also heard the same thing again and again:
"I just want to install Echoo and try it. I do not want to set up an API key first."
Fair. So we made that path much simpler.
No more BYOK requirement
Echoo now includes the Managed Plan, where we take care of the provider key for you.
That means you can:
- install Echoo
- run your first AI commands
- rewrite, summarize, translate, and clean up text
- decide later if you want to connect your own provider
No AI Studio setup. No provider dashboard. No copy-pasting keys before you even know if the app fits your workflow.
BYOK is still there for power users. The Managed Plan is for everyone who wants the shortcut layer without the setup work.
10 tokens on the house
Every new account gets 10 free tokens to try the Managed Plan.
One token equals one successful AI command. Use them on real tasks: clean up an email, rewrite a Slack message, translate a note, summarize a block of text, or test your own custom command.
No card required. No API key required. Just try it and see if it saves you time.
Two simple monthly plans
When you are ready to keep using managed AI access, there are two packages:
- Pro - 300 tokens per month
- Max - 600 tokens per month
We kept the plans simple because Echoo is supposed to remove friction, not add another pricing puzzle to your day.
Why this matters
The whole point of Echoo is speed. Select text, press a shortcut, and get back to work.
Requiring an API key before the first useful command got in the way of that. The Managed Plan fixes the first-run experience while keeping the original BYOK path for people who want full provider control.
So now you can choose the setup that matches you:
- Use the Managed Plan if you want Echoo to handle the AI access for you.
- Use BYOK if you already have a provider key or want direct control.
- Use local models if privacy or offline work is your priority.
Same app. Less setup. Easier first run.
Try the Echoo Managed Plan (opens in new tab) with 10 free tokens and see how it feels in your own Mac workflow.
