Translating English to Chinese
Chinese drops most of what English marks grammatically. There is no tense inflection, no plural -s, no articles - context carries all of it, so a translation that mirrors English structure reads as stilted. In the other direction Chinese demands things English lacks: every counted noun needs a measure word, and choosing between 个, 张, 本 and dozens more depends on the noun rather than a general rule. Punctuation is full-width, with 。and ，rather than the ASCII forms, and mixing them is an immediate tell. Chinese is also far more compact - the same text usually occupies about half the character count of the English. Simplified and Traditional are not interchangeable; Echoo produces Simplified by default.
